2009-10 Deanery Plan Review
During 2009 the Deanery Synod has been reviewing the
Deanery Plan. This has been encouraged by the need to produce a deanery plan
that will invigorate the life of God’s kingdom in the Hinckford area and the
need for fair shares of stipendiary clergy around the country. In practice this
has meant producing a plan that reduces the levels of stipendiary clergy within
the deanery from the current equivalent of 10 full time posts to the equivalent
of 8.5 full time posts. The driving force for this comes from the declining
number of stipendiary clergy available nationally. It is indeed a sacrificial
act on our part.

voted on at the next meeting in May.
