St Andrew's Earls Colne

You are warmly welcome to come to St Andrew's, the Parish church of Earls Colne. Step inside the church doors and our welcomers will help you find a seat and introduce you to others over a cup of coffee after the service.

Children are very welcome too and noise is not a problem! We have a regular Sunday School that runs in the Tower Room at the back of the church where children can be left safely and babies can be attended to.
Come along to our informal Family Service on the 2nd Sunday of each month, where children are encouraged to be central to the worship and anything can happen!

Hard Questions for Men

Does Christianity play any role in professional sport - or does winning and money come first?
The next Hard Questions for Men evening addresses these and other issues when Kevan McCormack, Chaplain of Ipswich Town Football Club and Rector of Woodbridge, will speak and answer questions on his role and give a view of modern sport from the inside.

Don't miss the chance to meet and quiz Kevan!

When I survey.... Christ's Cross and Ours

The Lent Course for 2010 challenges us to think about what was happening 2000 years ago and what our response is now to our world.

The Cross is a challenge which we so often sanitise and prefer not to delve too deeply into and yet it is at the heart of our belief.

Contributors to this course include General Sir Richard Dannatt, Chief of the General Staff and Head of the British Army until his retirement in 2009.

Course dates: Monday 22 Feb, Monday 1 March, Tuesday 9 March, Monday 15 March, Monday 22 March

All sessions are at 10 Park Lane, Earls Colne at 8pm. Contact Hugh Mothersole on 01787 222 211 for more information.

For up-to-date information on this week's readings and news download the Parish Magazine from our Noticeboard and see the Events page for details of planned activities.

Please note our important Facilities Appeal (the polite term for our 'Loo' appeal!) for funds to be used for the benefit of all church visitors! Don't forget to register with www.easyfundraising.org.uk and then make all your online purchases through their website to raise money for the loo fund, at no additional cost to you.
